Here’s something a little different – fun facts that give you a bite-sized snapshot of what Griffin House is all about. We know that he’s a brilliant songwriter, a most excellent guitarist, and an emotive singer. So what else is there to know?
First check out Griffin’s website.
This video of Griffin House singing his song “The Guy That Says Goodbye to You Is Out of His Mind” is an oldie but a goodie and has received over 1.6 million views on YouTube.
Griffin House is playing at the me&thee coffeehouse in Marblehead, MA on Friday, November 17, 2017.
Favorite current song:
My kids are beginning school so “Another Brick in the Wall” by Pink Floyd (we don’t need no education) is a great one. I also love to play “The Dog Days Are Over” by Florence and the Machine for my daughter Emma.
Favorite song when you were 10:
I think it might have been “Sunshine Superman” by Donovan. I insisted we go straight to the mall and buy it the minute I heard it. But I was also really into early Hip Hop. Run/DMC, Fat Boys, Beastie Boys, my mom would screen all my music but let me listen to it. I was kind of a mini Huey Lewis/Michael J Fox because of that scene in Back To The Future
Favorite guitar:
My 1967 Gretsche (orange Chet Atkins Nashville with a Belt Buckle Protector on the Back)
Favorite guitar solo:
Probably something from Queen
Favorite Singer:
Freddie Mercury
Favorite Beatle:
George for sure
Favorite Golf Course:
Nothing tops Pebble Beach 🙂
Coming UP
I’m working on a couple of new albums: a kid’s record and a spoof country album. I’m also doing some co-writing with Nashville-based writers.
