Dan Blakeslee is one of fourteen acts to appear at the 2022 Falcon Ridge Folk Festival Thursday Night Music Stage.
Not only is Dan a dynamic musician and entertaining performer, but he is also a first-class graphic artist. He was one of the first people to come to mind when the curation of the Thursday Night Music Stage began. Dan plays as a solo act as well as making merriment as Dan Blakeslee and the Calabash Club and there’s more…. look for his alter ego, Doctor Gasp, who often makes appearances around Halloween time. Dan most definitely qualifies as a traveling troubadour. He hails from Maine but has hung his hat in the greater Boston area as well as Rhode Island before returning to Maine. Dan fills his schedule with gigs at notable clubs and festivals including Newport Folk Festival and Green River Festival. His music has been heralded and he’s obtained a Boston Music Award as Best Folk artist and a New England Music Award as Best Male Performer. He’s got a couple of albums out that are well worth checking out. His unique writing style and stellar guitar chops make for enjoyable listens. Watching him at a live performance is a joy as well.
