MEET MEGHAN CARY

Meghan Cary with Peter Farrell is one of fourteen acts to appear at the 2022 Falcon Ridge Folk Festival Thursday Night Music Stage.

Meghan Cary is an accidental musician.  It’s not that she didn’t like music — she did.  However, it wasn’t until the untimely passing of her fiance, that she felt compelled to pick up his guitar and start writing her own material. Hers is a favorite voice in the Philadelphia area and it’s about time that she become more known in other regions of the country. Thus, please accept this invitation to get to know a little bit about her!

As Billboard Magazine said about Meghan, “Can the world stand one more storytelling troubadour? If the artist in question is Cary, the answer is a resounding yes!  Seek this one out!”  As someone who has heard a fair number of female songwriters over the decades, I can say without any hesitation that Meghan Cary stands out among them. Her vibrant and optimistic attitude combined with her powerful lyrics and fabulous voice are gifts from the universe.  One of the most impressive attributes about this woman and her music is her natural inclination to bring people together in song. She has contributed her time and talent to two important projects: The River Rock Project is dedicated to empowering women and the Carnegie Hall Lullaby Project brings songwriters together with mothers to capture their baby’s birth in song.

Here’s a most relevant video called “Raise Your Voice.”

Here’s an interview I did with Meghan a couple years back. Highly recommended that you click on it and watch the fabulous video of “Sing Louder.”
