Suzanne Vega is a songwriter who has garnered the respect of music critics and fans all over the world. Her observations about life are profoundly depicted in her songs. One would have to have a heart of stone not to appreciate the subtleties of language and overt emotion that are wrapped up in each of her songs. They’re stunning and they’re contemplative. The world is a better place because Suzanne has brought her music to us.
We are most thankful that Suzanne and Poez the Poet will be celebrating music and spoken word at the me&thee in Marblehead, MA on Friday, November 22.
Here’s a video of Suzanne singing one of her signature songs, “Tom’s Diner.”
