Kathy talks about Heather Mae, a folk-pop goddess from Washington, D.C.  She’s got a lot to sing about and we love it!  Listen to her song “Hero” which is included in this podcast.

Crys Matthews is a fabulous singer-songwriter who hails from North Carolina and is currently living in Virginia.  Crys was the winner of this year’s New Song competition in which she competed against 5,000 entrants and took home the grand prize at Lincoln Center.  Crys sings about a variety of topics related to social justice as well as a myriad of other topics like this song about her dog “By My Side.”

Both Heather and Crys will be playing at the me&thee in Marblehead, MA on Friday, October 12, 2018.

Mary gives us the low-down about DJ Richard who is a Providence, Rhode Island techno musician.  He has a groove and certainly exudes a wide array of emotion in his music.

In addition, Mary talks about Lina Tullgren from Maine. She’s got a unique sound and explores many aspects of life and our relationships in her songs.

Both DJ Richard and Lina will be playing at Hasslefest in Boston on October 9 and 10.
